DJ Hope seeks to educate both listeners and himself with a cross-blend of house music that is both familiar to the soul and that borders the experimental. This quest led him to foster the arrival of the tech-house sound in the late 90’s, although before the sound had today's moniker he presented it to listeners as “a surreal house style.” While the tech-house label may fit, rest assured no other tech-house DJ sounds similar. His quest for experimentation and education renders him an original on the hybrid-sound frontier. Today his sound crosses minimal, tribal, and tripped-out boundaries.
Hope has held residencies at 4twenty4’s “Clear” parties,
and has played at a variety of events in the DC-Baltimore underground scene and across the country.
